Our Mission
I Love Bernedoodle exists for one reason: to be the single most accurate, thorough, and genuinely useful resource on Bernedoodles anywhere on the internet.
This isn’t a general pet blog that occasionally covers doodles, and it isn’t a breeder’s sales page dressed up as an editorial site. It’s a dedicated resource built around one breed, because Bernedoodle owners and future owners deserve depth — not a rehashed 500-word overview copied from a dozen other sites.
How We Research
Every article on this site goes through the same process:
- Primary sourcing. We cross-reference claims against the American Kennel Club, the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America, veterinary literature, and established breeder associations rather than repeating what other pet blogs already say.
- Data over guesswork. Where a claim can be backed by a statistic — from the AKC’s annual naming data, Rover’s breed and naming reports, or published veterinary studies on breed health — we cite it and link to the source.
- Regular review. Bernedoodle-related information (health guidance, breed standards, naming trends) changes year to year. We revisit and update existing pages rather than letting them go stale.
- No sales incentive. We’re not a breeder or a retailer. We don’t profit from steering you toward a particular breeder, food brand, or grooming product, which means our recommendations aren’t shaped by what pays the most commission.
Who’s Behind This Site
I Love Bernedoodle is written and researched independently, with a specific focus on getting the details right rather than publishing volume. We’re not veterinarians or professional breeders, and we say so plainly: for health, medical, or breeding decisions, always consult a licensed veterinarian or a reputable, health-tested breeder. What we bring is careful research, a genuine love of the breed, and the discipline to verify what we publish before it goes live.
Our Standards
- We do not publish unverified breed “facts” that can’t be traced to a credible source.
- We disclose when a statistic comes from a survey or industry report rather than peer-reviewed research.
- We correct errors when we find them, and welcome corrections from readers, breeders, and veterinary professionals.
